Age and sex

For All Courts, there were 9,774 persons (93%) and 680 (7%) organisations finalised in 2012–13. (Table 1)

Of all finalised persons, 77% (7,499) were male and 22% (2,140) were female. (Table 1)

Between 2011–12 and 2012–13, the number of finalised defendants decreased for both males and females, by 4% and 5% respectively. (Table 1)

For finalised defendants appearing in All Courts in 2012–13, the largest age cohort was 40–44 years for both males and females. (Table 4)
